Explore the development of Steveston and its relationship to the Fraser Delta through eco-arts processes. 14. Gulf of Georgia Cannery National Historic Site
The Gulf of Georgia Cannery is the largest commercial small-craft fishing port in Canada. Built in 1894, the Cannery was once the largest of its kind. Now a National Historic Site, the exhibits showcase the stories of Canada’s West Coast fishing industry.
Celebrate World Oceans Day 2025 and explore a number of food sustainability and ocean sustainability initiatives at our one-day Food Sustainability Expo. Explore the museum’s new exhibits free of charge, or hone your artistic skills at a guided art workshop highlighting traditional cultural art forms that sustainably use fish.

15. Gurdwara Nanak Niwas: India Cultural Centre of Canada
Explore the Gurdwara and learn about basic concepts of Sikhism and the history of the Indo-Canadian community in Richmond. This gurdwara was established in 1985 and provides a spacious place of worship for the Sikh community and a popular location for weddings. The India Cultural Centre of Canada was one of the first religious buildings along Richmond’s “Highway to Heaven” and includes a community kitchen and prayer hall.

24. Richmond Art Gallery & Richmond Public Art, Canada Line Art Tour | PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED
Get an insider’s view to the public art along the Canada Line and the Richmond Art Gallery. Capture Photography Festival artists Khim Hipol and Lauraine Mak, RAG Curator Zoë Chan, and Richmond Public Art Planner Biliana Velkova will take visitors on a walking tour of their public artworks currently installed at Canada Line stations in Richmond, ending at the Richmond Art Gallery for a tea break and curatorial tour.

Richmond Caring Place Society is a home to 10 non-profit agencies and organizations located in the heart of Richmond.
Explore the Richmond Caring Place and admire the ceramic art exhibit in our lobby titled “About Face” by Japanese artist Kinichi Shigeno. Discover the Kaleidoscope Quilt, a collaborative piece created by nine members of the Textile Art Guild.
The Richmond Caring Place Board of Directors will be present to provide tours to the public. They will talk about the history of the Richmond Caring Place and highlight artwork and historical pieces. Our tenant agencies will have table booths set up in the foyer to provide information about their services.
The south and north entrance doors will be open for visitors.
