Heritage Fair 2026
The 24th annual Richmond Regional Heritage Fair was held on Friday, May 8, 2026, at the Richmond Cultural Centre. Our delightful young historians presented outstanding Heritage Fair projects on a variety of topics, from significant Canadians and milestones in Canada’s past, to personal stories of family history and migration.
Richmond students presented 107 Heritage Fair projects in English and in French. They also took part in workshops presented by the Kevin Harris, Richmond Art Gallery, Richmond Media Lab, and Richmond Public Library.
Two students will represent Richmond in Canada’s History National Showcase:
- Kyelan, Grade 4, Hamilton Elementary School
- Jayce, Grade 5, Jessie Wowk Elementary School
Three students will represent Richmond in the District Showcase at the Museum of Surrey from June 9-24, 2026:
- Taryn, Grade 4, Whiteside Elementary School
- Elise, Grade 5, Homma Elementary School
- Avery, Grade 5, Cornerstone Christian Academy
