The Maple Road Experience

The Maple Road Experience is a story about how one kid’s passion for skateboarding sparked something much bigger.

With the support of his parents, Kevin Harris built one of the most legendary backyard half-pipe ramps around—and in the process, brought together a community that, like him, would go on to achieve amazing things.

80 Years of Freedom and Friendship

80 Years of Freedom and Friendship tells the story of the liberation of the Netherlands by Canadian soldiers at the end of the Second World War.

From the autumn of 1944 through the spring of 1945, Canadian forces advanced town by town and canal by canal, freeing the Dutch people from Nazi occupation. These efforts forged a deep bond between Canada and the Dutch people—a friendship built on shared history, remembrance, and enduring respect.

The exhibit is presented by the Dutch Canadian Liberation Society, with special thanks to Adriana Zylmans.

View this exhibit until Fall 2026 in the Richmond Museum Extension located beside the Richmond Art Gallery inside the Richmond Cultural Centre.
