Steveston Tram

by Val

Step aboard history at the Steveston Tram Museum, home to Tram Car 1220. Car 1220 is an original 1913 tram that once carried passengers between Steveston and Vancouver, powered by hydroelectricity.

Inside the Tram building, connect with expert staff and volunteers to discover how electricity powered the tram system and take part in interactive activities.

From 1–4 pm, Richmond Public Library will be on site with hands-on circuit kits you can try—and even borrow to use at home.

Visit the BC Hydro Community Team tent on site to explore:
• Saving energy at home
• Clean, renewable power in BC
• Staying safe around electricity

The Steveston Tram building is accessible, Tram Car 1220 is not accessible.
