17. India Cultural Centre of Canada – Gurdwara Nanak Niwas
Explore the Gurdwara and learn about basic concepts of Sikhism and the history of the Indo-Canadian community in Richmond. This gurdwara was established in 1985 and provides a spacious place of worship for the Sikh community and a popular location for weddings. The India Cultural Centre of Canada was one of the first religious buildings along Richmond’s “Highway to Heaven” and includes a community kitchen and prayer hall.

45. Steveston Buddhist Temple
Steveston Buddhist Temple, the oldest in the Lower Mainland, was originally built in 1928 on 1st Ave. The current temple, established in 1963, remains a vital part of Steveston’s cultural community.
Come and learn more about the Buddhist heritage with a tour and history lesson of the Japanese Canadian experience in Steveston. We will also provide cultural activities throughout the day.

51. The Sharing Farm at Terra Nova
The Sharing Farm is a non-profit community farm focused on combating food insecurity. Volunteers grow fresh produce, which is donated to local food banks and meal programs throughout the year.
Come join us for guided Farm tours, Pollinator Walk and Talks, and a self-guided scavenger hunt. Engaging visitors of all ages in hands-on learning, we will be exploring topics including our local food system, sustainable farming, and biodiversity in the heart of Terra Nova Park. The Ukrainian Community Society of Ivan Franko preserves and promotes Ukrainian culture through events, language classes, traditional meals, and community programs, enriching the city’s vibrant multicultural landscape.
Join them to experience Ukrainian culture, history and art. Journey through an exhibit illustrating the arrival of Ukrainians to Canada. Write your name in the Cyrillic alphabet, witness the intricate art of creating pysanky, make a Ukrainian craft and enjoy sampling traditional Ukrainian cuisine.

55. Weavers and Spinners Studio
The Richmond Weavers and Spinners is a vibrant group dedicated to weaving, spinning, and dyeing. They host workshops, meetings, and community events at the Richmond Cultural Centre’s Fabric Arts Studio.
Join guild members as they demonstrate floor loom weaving, inkle loom techniques, and spinning. Try your hand at weaving on a rigid heddle loom—fun and engaging for all ages, especially kids!
Children have to be accompanied by an adult.
