Steveston Buddhist Temple

Steveston Buddhist Temple, the oldest in the Lower Mainland, was originally built in 1928 on 1st Ave. The current temple, established in 1963, remains a vital part of Steveston’s cultural community.
Come and learn more about the Buddhist heritage with a tour and history lesson of the Japanese Canadian experience in Steveston. We will also provide cultural activities throughout the day.
Saturday June 7 –
Japanese pastry making demonstration (30 mins): 11 am.
Buddhist flower arrangement demonstration (30 mins): 1:30 pm.
Intro to Buddhism talk (30 mins): 2:30 pm.
Tours every half hour.
