Partner Resources:

Doors Open Content Guidelines

We’re excited to share that we’ve created a set of content guidelines to help our partners with their social media posts. These guidelines are designed to ensure consistency, maximize engagement, and effectively highlight the event’s key messages. By following these recommendations, our partners will be able to create impactful  content that resonates with their audience and strengthens our collective presence online. We look forward to seeing the great content you’ll create!

Event Insurance

There are many places where you can purchase event insurance online or over the phone. We recommend Duuo for reasonable prices but you are welcome to work with your preferred vendor. We also recommend that you check with your organization about what your current coverage is. Many organizations may already have coverage through existing policies.

Creating a Doors Open Program

If you are new to Doors Open or would like to refresh your program offer during the event. The following document is a good resource to review. Creating Your Doors Open Program

Volunteers:

Click to REGISTER to the opportunities listed below.

Doors Open Richmond Ambassadors

Many participating partners have organized guided tours, displays and activities to enrich visitor experience. Volunteers are required to perform a four-hour morning or afternoon shift OR a 6-hour full day shift on June 7 or 8 (or both!) at a designated Richmond site.

Volunteer duties might include: sharing program information and answering questions from the public, generating interest in exploring the venue and other Doors Open locations, helping to move people efficiently through a venue (for example, parking control, admissions, etc.) and other duties on site(s)

Volunteers must be able to perform tasks with minimal supervision and be comfortable working in busy event settings.

Signing up is an indication of your interest to volunteer and does not guarantee your placement in the opportunity. All volunteers who are selected for this opportunity will be notified via email from the volunteer coordinator.

Additional info: There will be a mandatory online volunteer orientation session on Tuesday, May 27, 6:00 p.m.
Minimum age: 16
