Three levels of Heritage Fairs
School Heritage Fair. Students will first present their Heritage Fair projects at their school.
Regional Heritage Fair. Exceptional projects at the school level will be selected for the Regional Heritage Fair. Students will be interviewed by judges about their Heritage Fair project, and also take part in engaging hands-on activities. The next regional fair will take place on Friday, May 9, 2025.
Provincial Heritage Fair. Judges nominate 3 students from the Regional Heritage Fair to present their projects at the Provincial Heritage Fair, a five-day history camp that takes place in a different city in BC each year. The next provincial fair will be held in Vancouver from July 1-4, 2025.
Each year, over 150 Richmond students present Heritage Fair projects on topics that draw from family heritage and local Richmond stories to regional, provincial and national history. Over 6000 students take part in Heritage Fairs across BC and thousands more across Canada.
